One of the more common elbow complaints is a condition colloquially called ‘Tennis elbow’. This problem affects the extensor tendon and muscles of the forearm. It’s commonly associated with overuse and often has nothing to do with tennis! Think of the movement of turning a screwdriver. Any constant rotational movement of the forearm can cause muscles to become tight and weak. Flexibility and strengthening exercises are the key to recovery. A similar problem occurs on the inside of the elbow. It’s called ‘Golfer’s elbow’. Different cause, similar remedy!
